Green IT

In an effort to be a more environmental
friendly company, the Eastman Technologies'
Green Team is a division within Eastman
Technologies that is building and strengthening our standard practices
to be more Earth conscious.

The following green practices have
been implemented:

• We use energy efficient light bulbs and recycled paper.
  
  
• The Green Team ensures that the heat and A/C are turned off while the office is closed.
  
  
• The air conditioning is set to higher levels and the heat is set to lower levels during work hours.
  
  
• We offer e-billing to have customers go paperless and to allow online account access.
  
  
• Old telephone, voicemail systems and PC's are properly recycled with the local Waste Management Company.
  
  
• Plastic drink bottles are saved in the warehouse by our Operations Manager who then donates them to the Multiple Sclerosis Fund Raising Group each quarter.
  
  
• Waste Paper is shredded and donated to a Tortoise Sanctuary for bedding.
  
  
• Several of our employees work part-time from home, reducing our impact on the traffic system and environment, but most importantly increasing the quality of life for them and their families.
